QuestionHello, I was going through some old Shares from BIDCORP MINES LIMITED from 1955 and 1956 and LOMEGA GOLD MINES LIMITED in 1955. Could you head me in the right direction for some information about these shares please,
much appreciated,
Brian
AnswerBrian, from the information I have available, this is what I found.
The Lomega seems to have no value. It had its charter cancelled in 1962.
The Bidcorp went through numerous name changes and reverse stock splits and eventually became Dolly Varden Resources Inc., which is still around. It trades on the TSX Venture Exchange for about 16 cents per share. However, because of all the reverse splits, you would have had to start with a very large number of shares to have any Dolly Varden today. The splits were a 1 for 16 reverse, then a 1 for 4 reverse, then a 1.5752 for 1 Forward split, then another 1 for 5 reverse split. If my numbers are correct, every 1000 shares of Bidcorp would now be 4 shares of Dolly Varden.
You need to contact Dolly Varden's transfer agent, Equity Transfer and Trust (www.equitytransfer.com) to confirm the information and get the old Bidcorp shares reorganized into the new Dolly Varden shares.
