Question
Going through my things I found a stock certificate for ET 2000 corporation I bought in February 1990. Not sure how to check if it has any value at all. (did it undergo a name change?) It was a mining stock when I bought it.

Answer
Dave, I don't have much information on the Company. They did have a name change to Nordic Lite Inc. in 1993, and Nordic was around for just a couple of years before Ontario slapped them with a Cease-Trade order in 1995. That order remains in effect, and I cannot find any further reference to the Company.

If there is a transfer agent listed on the Certificate, I would contact them first, as they will know if your certificate has any current value. You could also contact the Province of Incorporation and see what information they have available. Or, you could take the certificate to a broker and ask them to perform a more detailed search for you.
