Question
Going through some old documents I inherited was a certificate for St. Fabien Copper Mines Limited dated 1974.  Written on the certificate: Incorporated under The Quebec Mining Companies' Act, Not subject to call, No personal liability. Countersigned and registered: Guaranty Trust Company of Canada, Montreal. Is it still valid?

Answer
Nancy, I do not have much information on the Company. It went through two name changes and one reverse stock split (a 1 for 4) and became Fabien Explorations Inc. I have no additional information than that.

Usually in these cases, you would contact the Transfer Agent first. However, Guaranty Trust is long out of business. You can contact the Province of Incorporation (in this case, Quebec) and inquire about what information they have on file. You could also take the certificate to a broker and ask them to perform a more detailed search for you.
