Question
I have inheritied share certificates dated from 1927 - 1947. How can I find any information on the following,

Pine Lake-Lorrain Silver Mines Ltd. 1927
Teck-Kirkland Gold Mines Limited 1935
McCarthy-Webb Goudreau Mines Ltd 1939
San Pedro Mining Corporation Ltd 1945-1947
Quintal Quebec Gold Mines Ltd 1945
Camsell River Silver Mines Ltd 1947

Any information will be appreciated.
Nancy

Answer
Nancy, those shares are very old and predate most of the information I have available.

Usually the best way to track down old certificate's value is to contact the Transfer Agent. If there is one, it should be listed on the certificate. However, these probably are so old the agents are no longer in business. If so, you could try contacting the Province of Incorporation (listed on the certificate as well) and see what information they have available. Or, you could contact a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
