My late grandfather had two stock certificates for Mercury Gold Mines Limited totaling 500 shares that were bought back in 1946.  My grandmother just found the paperwork and asked me to help her find out if they are worth anything.  I searched the web and found nothing about this company.  Am thinking the certificates are worthless.  What do you think?  Thanks!

Unfortunately, from the information I have available, it does appear the certificates are worthless. Mercury had its charter cancelled in 1970, and that happens when a company fails to file its required regulatory paperwork (and pay its incorporation fees) for several years running.
