Question
I found a stock certificate in my deceased father's desk for Continental Dynamics, Inc. (Utah) dated July 1969. Another for Landall Corporation (previously Prel Corporation) dated July 1980. Can you tell me if they are worth the paper they are printed on. Thank you!

Answer
Rick, I think both of these companies are US companies, and I don't have records on old US companies, just Canadian. However, I do know some information regarding Continental Dynamics, as its story is well known. It was somewhat of a poster boy for penny stock scams. They ran into serious trouble with the SEC and the courts three times between 1969 and 1974. How they escaped being shut down the first time I don't know, but I don't think they made it much past the third time.

I suggest you contact a US broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
