Question
In 1976 I bought 500 shares in Fin Resources Inc (Cdn) from M Rash & Co Ltd, Toronto, On, Canada. Recently after moving I found these stock certificates, & am wondering if they are still valid or what is their history. Thank You

Answer
Winston, from the information I have available, it appears there might be some value in that certificate.

In 1984, Fin merged into Continental Precious Minerals on the basis of 1 Continental share for every 2 Fin shares. Continental is still around - it trades on the TSX for about 53 cents per share.

You need to contact Continental's transfer agent, Equity Transfer (www.equitytransfer.com) and confirm the information. If it is correct, they can also confirm if your shares are valid and, if so, help you reorganize the old Fin shares into new Continental shares.
