Could you please give me information on whether shares in this company are of any value. The original purchase was made in 1974 but I cannot find any current info on the company.

Unfortunately, from the information I have available, it appears the shares have no value. The Company had its charter cancelled in 1980 - that happens when a company fails to file its required regulatory paperwork (and pay its fees) for several years in a row, which is usually because the company is already out of business.
