Canadian Stocks/Old mining Stocks

QuestionHi Steven:
I have a few old mining stocks that I am trying to get info on. These used to belong to my grandfather, and I want to find out if they may be worth anything. The three companies are; Maralgo Mines Limited (1937), Empire Gold Syndicate (1934), and Tom Johnson Nipigon Mines Limited (1935). If you have any info one these or could tell me how to find out more detail about them, that would be great.
Thanks
AnswerMike, I have no information on the Empire and Tom Johnson, but those are older than most of the information I have available.
Maralgo has done 2 or 3 reverse splits (a 1 for 2 and a 1 for 5, although it also appears they did a later 1 for 4 as well) and is now Rich Coast Inc., which trades on the Pink Sheets in the US only. It trades for roughly 9 cents per share. Computershare might still be their transfer agent - to get the old Maralgo reorganized, give Computershare (www.computershare.com) a try.
For the other 2, they are probably too old for a functional transfer agent (agent would be listed on the certificate), so you can try the Province of Incorporation and see what information they have available, or contact a broker and have them perform a more detailed search for you.
