Question
My father passed away and I recently came across some stock certificates that my father had left in a drawer with old misc papers and  was wondering if it was worth anything.
He had purchased  300 shares of  Milldale  Minerals  Limited back on May 4, 1961. He also had the receipt as he had purchased the stock through H.N. Hansen Limited in Toranto, Canada.  Are any of these companies in existance or have been bought out by other companies and if so, I do I research this.  Thanks so much for any imput.

Answer
Unfortunately, from the information I have available, it appears the shares have no value. Milldale had its charter cancelled in 1964 - that happens when a company fails to file its required annual regulatory paperwork (and pay its incorporation fees) for several years running, usually because the company is out of business.
