Questioni purchased 1000 shares in this company about 10 yrs ago. it looks like they've changed names to "Augustine Ventures Inc." Are my shares worth anything today?
AnswerVince, at the moment I do not believe there is any market for Augustine shares, but there may be sometime in the future.
I believe Black Mountain became Augustine Ventures after a 1 for 50 reverse split, which would have knocked your 1000 shares down to just 20. Augustine does not currently trade anywhere, but they are currently in compliance with their regulatory filing requirements. That suggests that management intends to use the company as either a shell and to merge with an operating company, or to try to enter some other line of business. Either way, I would hold on to the shares in case they return to trading in the future.
The transfer agent for Augustine is listed as Equity Transfer (www.equitytransfer.com). I suggest you contact them and provide them with your current contact information so they know where you are if something happens to the shares.
