My father passed away and we found some shares left to him by his mother
and we are wondering if they have any value:
1)Scarlet Oils LTD.
Chartered Trust Co. Toronto
2)Spike-Redwater Oil Co., LTD
Crown Trust Co.
3) Oil Selections LTD
Chartered Trust Co.
4) Jahala Lake Uranium Mines LTD
The premium Trust Co.
5) West Plains Oil Resources LTD
Guaranty Trust Co.
6) Yukeno Mines, LTD.
Guaranty Trust Co.

I do appreciate your advice and if it is worth persuing!!

Unfortunately, from the information I have available, it appears none of the shares have any current value.

Scarlet Oils and Oil Selections are one and the same - Oil Selections acquired Scarlet Oil's assets, so my guess is the Scarlet shares were cancelled and Oil Selections shares were sent out to shareholders. Selections was later acquired by Quonto Petroleum, which was dissolved in 1972.

Spike-Redwater was struck from the Corporate Register in 1959.

Jahala Lake had its charter cancelled in 1976.

West Plains was struck from the Corporate Register.

Yukeno was acquired by Gradore Mines, which surrendered its charter in 1972.
