Question
Hi....I have been cleaning out some old boxes and files and came upon an old (1995)stock certificate I have for 400 common shares of Continental Exploration & Development Ltd.  (incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario).  I have not been able to find any information about this company. ( I see lots of other "Continental" named companies).   Can you dig up any info on this company and let me know if this certificate is worth anything?

Thanks

Jeff

Answer
Jeff, Continental has gone through a couple of name changes and at least 1 reverse stock split (a 1 for 5). The Company was last known to be Dominion International Investments. Dominion ran into trouble in Canada and was cease-traded in several Provinces in 2001. To try and escape the Canadian problems, the company moved to the US and announced its intention to try to obtain a US registration and trade on the OTCBB. However, I don't see any evidence that ever occurred, and the company last traded on the awful "grey market" in the US many years ago. I do not see any current market for the company, and those cease-trade orders remain in effect. Therefore, from the information I have available, it appears there is no current value.
