Question
I am lookin for any information on Rose Mountain Mines Ltd or Tormac Mines ltd. I have old stocks certificates and want to get info on them.

Answer
Michelle, from the information I have available, this is what I found.

Rose Mountain went through a couple of name changes and became Milger Investment & Development after a 1 for 4 reverse stock split.  I don't have much information on Milger, as they seem to have dropped out of site around 1979/1980. They were cease-traded by Ontario in 1980, and that order remains in effect. That suggests they have not corrected whatever problem caused them to be cease-traded in the first place, and suggests they are not trading anywhere.

Tormac went through numerous mergers and name changes. The merger ratios were not at all favorable to Tormac shareholders. They were 0.01616 new for 1 old, then 2 for 1 then 1 for 4, then 1 for 2.2680, then 1.0514 for 1. Currently, the stock is Quest Capital, which trades on the TSX for about $1 per share. However, thanks to those merger ratios, you would have had to have a lot of Tormac to have much value in the Quest. You need to contact Quest's transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) to let them know what you have and see if it is worth the cost of reorganizing the old Tormac shares into Quest.
