Question
I have 2000 fully paid non-assessable shares without par value in the capital stock of President Mines Ltd.  They were purchased in 1989.  do they have any value and how would one go about cashing out if they did. Thanks in advance. Patti

Answer
Patricia, from the information I have available, it appears the shares may have some current value.

The Company did a 1 for 12 reverse split and has changed its name 3 times. It is currently Potash One, and trades on the TSX for about $2.50 a share. Based on the reverse split and the information I found, I believe you have 166 shares of Potash One worth approximately $400. You need to contact Potash One's Transfer Agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) and let them know what you have. They can tell you if the shares are valid and, if so, will be able to reorganize them into the current Potash One shares so you can sell them if you wish.
