Question
i AM TRYING TO HELP A FRIEND FIND INFORMATION ON THIS STOCK. SHE FOUND THE STOCK CERTIFICATE (40 SHARES) WITH HER DECEASED FATHER'S PAPERWORK. THE CERTIFICATE WAS ISSUED/REGISTERED BY CROWN TRUST COMPANY AND DATED JANUARY 17TH, 1969. CAN YOU PROVIDE ANY HELP WITH LOCATING WHO, IF ANY, HOLDS THIS STOCK NOW AND/OR DETERMINING VALUE. THANK YOU!

Answer
Unfortunately, from the information I have available, the shares have no value. Cerna shareholders received 1 Dison International share for every 4 Cerna shares, but Dison was later struck off the register, which is what happens when a company fails to file its required regulatory information (and pay its fees and taxes) for several years running, usually because the company is already out of business.
