Question
I've lost my certificate for Alberta Energy Stock.  I was wondering how i would go about getting a new certificate, so that i would be able to determine how much my stock is worth.  Also, I'm looking for information on how I change them over to Encana stock.
Thanks for your time.

Answer
Richard, you will need to contact Encana's transfer agent, CIBC Mellon (www.cibcmellon.com#. They will be able to confirm your ownership in Encana #actually, soon to be both Encana and Cenovus, since Encana is splitting itself into two companies). When they confirm your ownership, you will have to declare a lost certificate - in those cases, the agent will require you post a bond for the value of the lost certificates. Typically, they will refer you to an insurance company who will charge you a 2% fee for the bond.
