Question
good day
i was going through some of my dads old papers and i came across two old certificates that i was wondering if you could help me with.they are issued by Consolidated Chibougamau Goldfields Limited dated July 15 1936.I was just wondering if they had any value

thanks

Answer
Eric, from the information I have available, it appears the shares might have some current value, but not much.

The Company went through several name changes and consolidations (a 1 for 8, then a 1 for 10) and is currently Campbell Resources. Campbell is currently bankrupt (again - 2nd time in 4 years). The shares are currently suspended from trading in Canada, but it trades for less than 1/2 of one cent in the US grey market. To confirm this information, you can contact Campbell's transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com).
