Canadian Stocks/old share certificate

Question
My dad recently passed away and my mom found an old share certificate for 100 shares of Crimco Mining Corporation Ltd. dated Feb 14, 1973.  I've done a search on the main Canadian stock markets and the web, with no luck.  I assume its likely defunct but thought I would double check with you.  Guaranty Trust company is identified as the transfer agent which I've noted from your website, no longer exists.  Your help would be appreciated.  thank you.

Answer
Unfortunately, I have no information on Crimco Mining, either. Since we know the transfer agent is defunct, you can try contacting the Province of Incorporation (also listed on the certificate) and see what information they have available. You could also take the certificate to a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
