Question
I currently hold a stock certificate for 500 shares.  Certificate number AN05313 dated 03 October, 1984.  I was advised by my broker on 27 April, 1993 to hang on to the stock.  I've checked the internet but there doesn't seem to be any activity on this company since it was delisted on that date.  Was this company's assets taken over by another company?  Is the stock certificate worth anything?  Any information will be much appreciated.
Yours truly

Michael A. Roger

Answer
From the information I have available, the company did a 1 for 4 reverse split and changed its name to Consolidated Imperial Resources Inc. in 1988. The stock was cease-traded and delisted in 1992, and does not seem to have any value from that point onward, as the cease-trade orders remain in effect to this day.
