Canadian Stocks/Madison mining

Question
Hello,  Very interesting threads here.  I found some mining certificates in my grandmother's documents.  They were issued to my grandfather Nov 21, 1955 and August 11 1955 for Madison Mining Corp for 100 shares each(Incoporated under the Quebec Mining companies Act) from the Eastern Trust Company, toronto.  the equivalent of today's penny stocks?

Answer
Unfortunately, from the information I have available, the shares have no current value. Madison had its charter cancelled in 1973, which is what happens when a company fails to file its required financial information (and pay its fees and taxes) for several years in a row, which is usually because they are already out of business.
