Question
Hi!

My mother recently passed away and while I was going through her things found 5000 shares in a stock from the Miller Copper Mines Limited, countersigned by Prudential Trust Company Limited, Montreal.  There were 100 shares each for $5000 in 1956.  Are these worth anything and if they are, then how do I go about cashing them in for the money.

Thank You for your time

Answer
From the information I have available, the company did a couple of name changes and at least 1 reverse stock split (a 1 new for 6 old shares) and became Consolidated Miller Mining in the 1980's. I don't have any information after that. I suggest you contact a broker to see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
