Question
I purchased 400 shares of Wild River Resources Inc. on August 4, 1994 and another 600 on September 15, 1994. I have tried to contact both Wild River and A.C. Macpherson to no avail. Can you provide guidance as to how to determine the value, if any, of these shares? Thank you.

Answer
Mark, A.C. MacPherson is finally out of business. The Ontario Securities Commission tried for years shut them and the other notorious penny stock outfits down for selling mostly worthless and often rigged stocks. They finally succeeded around 2000, but a lot of "customers" were taken for a ride before the OSC was successful in shutting their doors for good.

The Company went through several name changes and at least 2 reverse splits (a 1 for 5, followed by a 1 for 4) and is currently OSE Corp, which trades the TSX Venture Exchange for about 6 cents per share. Unfortunately, taking into account the reverse splits, you would currently have 50 shares of OSE at a total value of about $3. Not much, I am afraid. I suggest you contact the current transfer agent, Equity Transfer (www.equitytransfer.com) who will be able to tell you exactly how many shares of OSE you currently may own.
