Question
QUESTION: I have 1000 shares of this stock dated Jan 26 1960 as part of my fathers estate.  Is this company still around?  The shares were countersigned and registered through Crown Trust Company of Toronto, Canada.  The certificate is numbered, No. 302.  I wanted to know if these shares had value.

Sincerely
Mark

ANSWER: Unfortunately, from the information I have available, the shares have no value. Hallmark was dissolved in 1966, and shareholders received no value.

QUESTION: Mr. Taylor,
Is there any website or Canadian authority that I can check with to see if they might have changed names and running under a different company name?  Any extra info will help.  I appreciate your time.
Sincerely,

Mark

Answer
Mark, unfortunately, there is no website, which is why these stocks are so difficult to track down and so many people ask me these questions.

You can contact the Province of Ontario as the Province of Incorporation - look for Corporations on the government portal website. They should be able to confirm the information.
