I recently found some stock certificates for Chipman Lake Mines. The stock certificates were purchased in 1966. Please tell me if they have any value?

Linda, from the information I have available, Chipman went through several reverse splits (a 1 for 7, then a 1 for 4.5) and became Avatar Energy. Avatar was acquired by Neutrino on the basis of 0.38 of a Neutrino share for every Avatar share. Neutrino was acquired in 1988 for $1.80 per share in cash.

If the shares are in your name, and you never received the cash, you need to search every State or Province in which you lived from the time you bought the shares in 1966 until the takeover. You can search many of them online for free at www.missingmoney.com and www.naupa.org (search both).
