QuestionQUESTION: I hold a share certificate in Moto gold that was once an Australian listed company in 2005 and was then listed on the TSX under the same name under the code MOE..I cant find out what has appened since it was listed in Canada and i was wondering if you can help me with the relevent info
ANSWER: Peter, Moto Goldfields listed on the TSX in 2005 under the symbol "MGL". It traded until it was acquired by Randgold in October 2009. Canadian shareholders of Moto received 0.07061 of a Rangold American Depository Share for each share of Moto. Currently, Randgold is trading for about US$98 per ADS.
Since this merger occurred about 12 months ago, the transfer agent may still have your shares. You need to contact Computershare (www.computershare.com) in regards to the new shares and see if they still have them or, if not, to which government agency were they turned over to for safekeeping so you can claim them back.

QUESTION: Excellent response ...much appreciated...do you offer a fee for service for stock tracing /recovery...I have the original share certificate somewhere but I dont have the time or expertise to make or follow up the enquiry.
AnswerPeter, as much as I appreciate the offer, I think it would probably be easier and quicker (and certainly less expensive) for you to make the inquiries yourself. Considering we are in very different time zones, and for me to make the inquiries on your behalf with the agent would also require a notarized power of attorney. Again, time consuming and expensive.
I think your best bet now is to just send and E-mail to Computershare and let them know you have Moto Gold shares and need information to convert them to Randgold. They should be able to take you through the process pretty quickly (I hope).
