Question
Hi there,

Clearing out my parent's house following the death of my mother, I found share certificates for New Concord Development Corporation Ltd. issued in 1953, as well as Hightower Oil & Refining Company (Canada) Ltd. from 1935.

Is there any value to either of these ?

Thank you for your help.

Answer
Graeme, from the information I have available:

The New Concord has no value. The company was dissolved back in the 1960's.

I have no information on the Hightower, although the certificate predates most of the information I have available. Considering the certificate's great age, I suggest you contact a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
