Canadian Stocks/Tracking down old Gold Mining Companies

Question
We have unearthed stock certificates for Canadian Mining Companies from 1944-54.  They include Beauriv Yellowknife mine, Banner Porcupine mine, Ordala mines, and Good Rock gold mines.  I think I have successfully tracked Banner to Enerplus Resources Fund but the rest I'm hitting dead-ends on.  Can you help me track down where these companies ended up?

Cheers,

Answer
Tom, from the information I have available:

Beaurlv has no value. The Company had its charter cancelled in 1958.

Ordala has no value - its charter was cancelled in 1973.

Goodrock has no value - it was dissolved in the 1960's.

Banner is now Enerplus, but note the numerous capital changes (a 1 for 10 reverse split, then a 1.23, then a 3.25 for 1 merger, then a 1 for 0.173 merger). That would reduce the original number of shares substantially.
