Question
I found a stock certificate for Capital Mining Syndicate dated Sept 1948 in my Grandfather's estate. Issued in Manitoba. Any information that you may have would be appreciated. Thank you.

Answer
James, I have no information on Capital Mining Syndicate. The term "syndicate" generally refers to a limited offering of shares to a very small number of subscribers to raise money for a very specific purpose or project. Most syndicates had only a handful (10-100) of subscribers, and the shares were never publicly traded. Therefore, they are extremely difficult to trace for value.

If there is a transfer agent listed on the certificate, I would contact them first. But, considering the great age of the certificate, I think your best approach is to contact the Province of Incorporation (Manitoba) and see if they have any information.
