I purchased 1000 shares  back in 1984 do they still exist and are these shares worth anything

Norman, from the information I have available, the company has undergone multiple name changes and at least 2 reverse stock splits (a 1 for 10, then a 1 for 3) and is now Crosshair Exploration, which trades on the TSX for about 24 cents per share. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) to confirm the validity of your old shares and reorganize them into the new shares.
