QuestionWe have some common shares in this company. shares were purchased in 1984 was wondering value of these shares? did they change into a different company as I can not find any information on the lobo company It was registered with the guaranty trust company of Canada
AnswerScott, from the information I have available:
The Company eventually became Leader Capital after several share consolidations (a 1 for 15, then a 1 for 5, then a 1 for 2). Leader Capital went private in 2009, and shareholders received 51 cents per share.
Assuming the share consolidations did not completely wipe out your original Lobo position, you should contact the last transfer agent, Equity Transfer (www.equitytransfer.com) and see if they can tell you about any cash in your name.
