Question
I have a Marconi electric company of Canada stock certificate
one share. What mite it be worth today?
Thank you for your time.

Answer
Emil, I don't know Marconi Electric Company of Canada, but I do know Canadian Marconi. It was eventually acquired by Onex for about $25 per share.

It sounds like the certificate you have is extremely old, which means it probably is not in your name. In that case, you would have a difficult time proving you have legal ownership and being able to claim the cash, if it is still out there. I suggest you contact a broker to have them perform a more detailed search for you. In the end, though, the value in the certificate may be more valuable as art to collector, but I would consult with a broker first.
