Question
My father has shares for this company that date back to 1973.  I cannot find anything on them but know that they are somehow connected to Yamana now.

Answer
Donna, you are correct. They went through numerous changes and reverse splits. They did a 1 for 2 and became Power Explorations Inc. They then did a 1.5 for 1 in an amalgamation and became Moss Resources. Later, shareholders received 1 new share for 7 old shares. They later did an unusual transaction whereupon shareholders received 1 share of Moss Resources (a new Moss from the prior one) and 1/15 of a share of Yamana for each old share held. The Moss shares are worthless, but the Yamana has value. The stock trades on the NYSE for about $12.75 per share. You need to contact the current transfer agent, CIBC Mellon (www.cibcmellong.com) regarding possible value and getting the old shares reorganized.
