QUESTION: hello i have been left some units in the above company dated 1975 and issued by the Montreal trust company.
but can not find any information on them please could you help

ANSWER: Rudy, I believe the instrument you are looking for is not at all a company, but instead a trust that contains the mineral interests once owned by someone named Felix Patrick Sharpe. A relative of yours, perhaps? The owners would be all the people named in the person's will.

Montreal Trust is now part of Scotiabank. I suggest you contact them and see if they can dig up some information on their end.

QUESTION: hi and thanks for the quick replie, i have contacted scotis bank and they put me intouch with computershare who cant find any info on it, also do you think they will have any value

Rudy, I am sorry that Computershare has no information on it. However, I am surprised that Computershare would have it, as it was a trust, and I thought the trust operations of Montreal Trust stayed with Scotia, while only the stock transfer operations went to Computershare. If you can dig up any additional information about the trust, I would take the information back to Scotia and see if that will help them find it.

In regards to possible value, it is impossible to say without knowing what mineral interests were originally contained in the trust. Because anything is possible, I think it is definitely worth additional effort to uncover the trust's current status.
