Question
I have old Share Certificates for Anglo Western Minerals Ltd. and Hart River Mines Ltd.  How do I determine if they have any value, and if I need to hire a company to do this, how do I choose a reputable one?
thank-you.

Answer
From the information I have available:

Anglo Western has no value. They became Anglo Western Petroleum, which was dissolved in 1991 with no value to shareholders.

Hart River did several reverse splits (a 1 for 5, then a 1 for 3, then a 1 for 10) and is currently Calypso Uranium, which trades on the TSX Venture for about 10 cents per share. The current transfer agent is Computershare (www.computershare.com) who you need to contact about getting your old shares reorganized into the current shares.
