Question
Hi Mr Taylor,I would like to find out if the shares my grandfather left could be worth anything, the first one is from Canadian-Australian Exploration Limited,it is for 1000 shares,cert#3362 and dated for Jan 15 1964 and there is two for New West Amulet Mines Limited, and they are for 100 shares @.Cert#T6930 Nov 29 1961 and T7000 Dec 6 1961.If you could help us out that would be great. Thanks Natalie

Answer
Natalie, from the information I have available:

Canadian-Australian did a 1 for 5 reverse and became Win-Eldrich. Win-Eldrich is still around - it trades on the TSX Venture Exchange for about 38 cents per share. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) about getting those old shares reorgainized.

New West did a 1 for 5 reverse and changed named twice. They ended as KPI International, which was cease-traded in Ontario and Quebec in 2000. Those orders remain in effect. The stock last traded in the US in 2003 at $0.0001 per share.
