Question
I have recently found a stock certificate purchased in 1941 by my Grandfather for 1000 shares in Alba Gold Mines LTD. Can you tell me how best to investigate the value of this certificate or are you aware of this Company? I appreciate your assistance.

Answer
Unfortunately, I have no information On Alba Gold Mines, but it does predate most of the information which I have available.

If there is a transfer agent listed on the certificate, I would contact them first, but considering the date, that is a long shot. You could also try the Province of Incorporation and see if they have any information on the Company. Or, contact a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
