Question
In 1981 I purchased shares in Dixie Oil & Gas Corporation and Coxheath Gold Holdings (formerly French Road Explorations). I just came upon the certificates after forgetting about them. Are these of any value?

Answer
Paul, from the information I have available:

Dixie did a 2 for 5 reverse split, then a 1 for 5.4 and became United Pacific Capital Resources. United Pacific was suspended and cease-traded by several Provinces in 2001. Those cease-trade orders remain in effect, which strongly suggests the company never fixed its problems.

Coxheath ran into serious financial difficulty and was suspended and later delisted in 1991/1992. It was also cease-traded in Alberta, and that order remains in effect.
