Thank you for any help you are able to provide
AnswerKatie, from the information I have available:
Jasper had its charter cancelled in 1969. No value.
Cabala changed names twice before having its charter cancelled in 1956. No value.
Clifton Consolidated had its charter cancelled in 1957. No value.
Gunflint had its charter cancelled in 1956. No value.
Starlight had its charter cancelled in 1969. No value.
Starcourt was dissolved in the 1960's. No value for shareholders.
Finally, New Jack. it changed its name to Equity Explorations in 1962, then did a 1 for 2 reverse split and became Eagle Gold Mines. Eagle later merged with Agnico Mines to form Agnico-Eagle. Today, Agnico-Eagle is one of the largest gold mining companies in Canada, and its shares trade for about $60 per share on the TSX. Assuming the New Jack shares are valid and your father never received the Agnico shares, he should still be on the shareholder rolls. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) and see what information they can provide.
