Question
I have old stock certificates as follows:Night Hawk peninsular mines ltd 1925 to 1936, ed hargreaves kirkland gold mines ltd 1935, berkeley mines ltd 1963,brett threthewey mines ltd 1936, kirkland minerals ltd 1956 and lake osu mines ltd 1960. How can I find out if there is any value?  Thank You

Answer
From the information I have available:

Night Hawk has no value - it was liquidated and no value for shareholders.

Ed Hargreaves has no value - its charter was cancelled in the 1950's.

Berkeley Mines was dissolved - no value for shareholders.

Brett Trethewey was liquidated - shareholders received 1/10th of a cent.

Kirkland Minerals did a 1 for 10 reverse split and became Groundstar Resources. Groundstar is still around - it trades for about 47 cents on the TSX Venture Exchange. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) to determine value.

Lake Osu was wound-up in 1976. I do not believe there was any value for shareholders.
