Question
I have 2 old stock certificates I am trying to research on behalf of my Father in law. Both appear to be presently inactive, but I did find reference on one of them in an earlier response of yours, namely: Monpre Iron Mines. I saw reference to it in a 1999 article in Northern Miner, that indicated it was being reactivated in 1994. He has 1000 shares issued in 1968 of Monpre, and 66 shares of Pan Central Explorations Limited, dated Feb/1972.
Any value other than the beautiful parchment paper certificates?
Thanks

Answer
Tom, I have been asked about Monpre often, which suggests there are many certificates floating around out there. Monpre was reactivated, did a reverse split, and became Techoldmin Ltd. Techoldmin seems to have left Canada and was last trade in the US on the Pink Sheets, but I have no information on its ultimate status.

Pan Central is another company I have been asked about before. I have no information on the ultimate fate of the company, but consider that many of the certificates have been for sale on the internet as defunct company certificates for collectors. Not a good sign.

I suggest you contact a broker and see if they can perform a more detailed search for you.
