Question
I found two old stock certificates which were issued to me in 1982 and would like to know what happened to these companies.
The companies are New Frontier Petroleum Corp. and Omni Resources Inc..
Any information you have would be appreciated.
Bill

Answer
Bill, from the information I have available:

New Frontier did a 1 for 5 reverse split and became Petromac Energy. Petromac was suspended, cease-traded and delisted in 1985. Since those cease-trade orders remain in effect, it suggests the company was never revived.

Omni merged with another company and became Taglish Lake Gold on the basis of 0.2257 Taglish for every share of Omni. Taglish is still around, but unfortunately filed for bankruptcy a month ago and is currently reorganizing. The stock is trading at 4 cents per share. You need to contact the current transfer agent, computershare (www.computershare.com) regarding the current value of your old shares.
