My wife has a share certificate dated 1981 for shares in
Transpacific Asbestos Inc.
Are these of value?

From the information I have available, there is no current value. The company became Transpacific Resources, but was cease-traded and delisted in 1994. They limped along filing their required regulatory and financial information until 2004 (even though the stock was not trading anywhere), when they stopped filing. There has been nothing new since.
