Question
my grandfather set up a trust for me with BCE shares from 1985. I understand the stock split in 97, Nortel to over, had problems and
then BELL Aliant did something in 2006. I have never gotten a statement, I have a copy of the certificate. I have been to E-Trade, Fidelity and Computershare. I have the death certificate, but I still get no answers, but they want more money everytime I have tried a search. Any suggestions?

Answer
Karen, I am afraid you will have to go back to Computershare. As the current transfer agent for BCE, they and only they have the official shareholder list and know exactly how many shares you currently own. Even if you go through a broker like E-trade or Fidelity, it will end up at Computershare anyway.

If the person you speak with at Computershare is not helpful, I suggest then contacting BCE's Investor Relations department directly and see if they can help you with inquires at Computershare. Computershare will charge a fee to reorganize any shares you have, but I have not heard of them charging to confirm ownership.
