Question
I have found old stock certificates and would like to know if these companies are still viable.  Pantan mine, Bar fin mining,
Medallion mines,Monpre mining,Plexterre mining and Mid-nation
Developments limited. I appreciate any information you can givr
me.

Answer
From the information I have available:

Pantan, Plexterre, and Medallion are the same company. Pantan and Plexterre merged into Medallion, which was dissolved in 1968 and shareholders received no value.

Bar-Fin had its charter cancelled in 1960. No value for shareholders.

Monpre did a 1 for 5 reverse and became Monpre Iron, which later did a further 1 for 3 reverse and became Techoldmin. Techoldmin left Canada and last traded years ago on the Pink Sheets in the U.S. I have no further information on what happened to it from there.

Mid-Nation was dissolved in 1969. No value for shareholders.
