QuestionQUESTION: My husband purchased stock 20 years ago, we still have the stocks but don't know how to find out what has happened to them. One company is Maradona Resources Inc. purchased in 1986 and the second is Hollyhead Resources Inc. also purchased in 1986. I tried to track them down I understand that Maradona Resources may have changed its name to Forest Hill Capital Corporation in the 2000. Hollyhead I believe may have been changed to CML Global Capital Ltd. in 1999. If these are still valid, what do we do with them. Thank you for your help.
ANSWER: From the information I have available:
Maradona eventually did become Forest Hill Capital, which collapsed and was delisted and cease traded in 1999. There is no current value.
Hollyhead did eventually become CML Global, which went private January 1, 2005. Shareholders received $2.10 per share cash. If your husband did not receive his cash, then the money would have been turned over to the government for safekeeping, waiting for him to claim it. He needs to check the lost property department of every State or Province in which he lived from the date he first acquired the shares until the privatization. You can search many of them for free online at www.naupa.org and www.missingmoney.com.

QUESTION: I have gone to both of the sites mentioned, they don't seem to accept Ontario as a province for the searches. Are there any sites that you know that might accept the province of residence as Ontario. Thank you again for your wonderful help.
AnswerUnfortunately, I do not know of any, short of trying the Province's own website portal, www.ontario.ca. Many of the non-participating States and Provinces require you to contact them with your information directly in order for the employees to conduct a search on your behalf.
