Question
My husband bought 300 shares in Registry Resources Inc. in 1990 through A.C. MacPherson. They traded on the Montreal Stock Exchange under REG. In the late 1990s we were told by our financial planner they were still worth about what we paid for them. Are they worth anything now?

Answer
From the information I have available, the shares have no current value. The company changed names a couple of times and had a 1 for 5 reverse split. They ended as Allican Resources, which ran into serious financial trouble and was suspended, cease-traded and delisted in 2006.
