Question
Found in paperwork were 2 certificates from NAMA CREEK MINES LIMITED (Thomson & Co.) dated 1955 and 1965; another certificate was TJN INDUSTRIES LTD dated 1988 (National Trust transfer agent).  How am I able to research any information on both these companies? Thank you.

Answer
From the information I have available:

TJN is a company I have been asked about frequently. It seems a lot of people got stuck with the stock. TJN Gold became TJN Industries. TJN was cease-traded in 1984, and that order remains in effect. I don't show any revival of the company or any other name change.

Nama Creek did several reverse splits (a 1 for 4, then a 1 for 2, then a 1 for 5) and I believe it is currently Billington Holdings PLC, which trades in London. You can find the company's current transfer agent listed online.
