Question
I was recently cleaning up some old boxes in the basement and found some old stock certificates and was wondering if they are worth anything and/or how i would go about finding out

the certificates are for STI Industries, Justice Electronics, and Caratel LTD...they traded on the TSE if I remember correctly (but with my lousy memory, it may have been on the Vancouver Exchange)

can you help me out?

most appreciatively yours

bruce

Answer
From the information I have available:

STI was cease-traded in 1993. I don't show that it was ever reactivated.

Justice did a 1 for 10 reverse and became Jemtec. Jemtec is still around - it trades for about 70 cents per share on the TSX Venture. You need to contact the current transfer agent, Computershare (www.computershare.com) regarding the reorganization of your old shares.

Caratel did a 1 for 6 reverse split and became Huntington Rhodes, which had no business and no money and stopped filing in 2005. That is why it was cease-traded in 2006, and I don't show there was any reactivation here, either.
