I have shares from a number of Canadian mines issued in the 1930s and 1940s: Roybell Mines Ltd, Lennox Mines Company Ltd, LeRoy Mines Ltd and finally Claremont Mines Ltd. Are those company still operational or have any value?

From the information I have available, none of those shares have any current value.

Robell had its charter cancelled in the 1970's.

Lennox was dissolved in 1961.

Leroy Mining was dissolved in the 1970's.

Claremont had its charter cancelled in the 1970's.
